The style of costume you wear dictates the way you dance and everything from tailor-made extravagances to off-the-peg white galabayyas are available.

If you want a costume made and designed for you, plan to spend at least ten days in Cairo and a lot of money.

If you are prepared to have an almost complete ready-made, one-off, costume fitted and finished by a designer you need a week. These cost anything up to 4000 LE [Egyptian Pounds]

Off-the-peg costumes can be adapted within a couple of days and cost up to 1500 LE

A made-to-fit galabeyya will take 24 hours and cost less than 100LE

You need to plan your purchases, and your budget, in advance or you will loose time and money.
